About Nayamazu Japan
Nayamazu Japan is an independent English-language visitor guide. It helps you prepare, arrive, move around and find a useful next step when travel in Japan feels unfamiliar. Nayamazu Japan is edited and operated by TETORA. This name describes the site's operator; it is not a claim that the site is a registered company.
Nayamazu comes from the Japanese expression 悩まず (nayamazu). Here, it captures a simple idea: when travel in Japan feels unfamiliar, you should be able to find a clear answer and move forward without getting stuck wondering what to do next.
How we research and verify information
We prefer government, official organizer and first-party operator sources for rules and services they control. We show sources and the date they were checked beside important guidance. A check date means the cited source was consulted; it does not mean a service is monitored live or that its rules cannot change.
We distinguish sourced facts from editorial suggestions. For eligibility, fares, opening times, reservations and safety instructions, check the responsible authority or operator before acting. Where a Japanese primary source is the closest authority, our English explanation is a summary, not official translated wording. We do not invent personal visits, purchases or reviews.
Corrections
If a fact, link, Japanese phrase or image caption appears wrong, email the page URL, what needs correction and, if available, an official source. We review high-risk travel and safety errors first, then revise or remove unsupported content. Please avoid sending passport numbers, medical details or other sensitive personal information.
Contact
For corrections, site feedback or general inquiries, email contact@nayamazujapan.com. This mailbox is not emergency support or live travel assistance, and we cannot guarantee a response time. For an immediate emergency in Japan, use the local emergency services listed in Help now.
Privacy
You do not need a site account to read this guide. Search matching runs in your browser. A search submitted through the Search page may put your query in the URL, which can be included in browser history and hosting request information. The preparation and arrival checklists save ticked items in your browser's local storage; this site does not send those checklist choices to a site account. Copy buttons use your browser's clipboard when you choose to copy.
Cloudflare delivers and secures this site. In doing so, it may process network requests and technical connection information as described in its privacy policy. On the public site, Cloudflare Web Analytics/RUM is on; Cloudflare describes that analytics measurement as cookie-free. Its current setting excludes visitors in the EU from Web Analytics measurement. That exclusion does not stop the network processing needed to deliver and secure a page. Cloudflare Web Analytics is separate from the Google Analytics choice below, and their visitor counts may differ.
We use Google Analytics 4 only if you choose to allow analytics. If you have not chosen or select No thanks, the Google tag does not load and you can still use the site. If you allow analytics, GA4 may use first-party cookies, including_ga and a stream-specific _ga_… cookie, to measure page views, scrolling and outbound link clicks. Our page-view code sends only approved paths, without query strings or fragments, and an origin-level referrer. We do not send search terms, feedback or contact text, names, email addresses, or a custom user ID as analytics events. Google Signals, Google Ads linking and ads personalization are off. GA4 event-data retention is set to 14 months. Google may process analytics data outside your country; see its privacy policy. Use Privacy settings in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawing permission stops future collection after the page reloads and removes known GA cookies from this site; it does not delete data Google already received.
Google Search Console gives us aggregate information about how pages appear in Search; it does not add a visitor tracking script. We do not currently run affiliate tracking or advertising scripts. We will update this explanation before either is introduced. An email you send to our contact address is handled by the mail services involved in delivery. If you follow an external link, that site's privacy and cookie terms apply.
